Lilas des Bois

The story begins three years ago, when I decide to bring out old deck chairs from garage to renew them and install on the terrace of the cottage I just opened in Provence. I have to repaint and changing clothes… but witch cloth? I would like something original, different from usual scratches but I don’t find anything

With my experience as illustrator, I decide to paint clothes by myself and try on linen, bought at the market place. Then, I discover the contact between paint brush and this raw canvas. It’s a revelation! I paint table runners, cushion covers, wall hangings and remake completely the cottage.

Against the success of my homemade creations, I have naturally the idea of printing them on textile. Many researches are following with the constant desire to offer quality products and French manufacturing.

It’s « Lilas des Bois »’s birth. Because the wild lilac’s perfume is like my « madeleine de Proust »… The smell of spring, mixed with the one of undergrowth still wet since winter and announcing rebirth, Life, joy, creativity and all future happiness…
